Tags Standings
Join us each Sunday for Tags.
Sunday mornings we host a casual-competitive one round tournament that anyone can join. Unless moved or canceled, tags starts promptly at 9:00am (so be sure to show up 30 minutes prior at the shed by hole 3).
Joining
Each year, players can join the current tags season by paying the entry fee for that year ($20) when attending their first round of the season.
Entry Fee
After initial buy in, each tags round costs $5.
Fundraising
FWGDC is a non-profit. All money raised is spent on maintenance, events, and course improvements.
Format
Players are grouped into cards by current tag number, where similarly ranked players are grouped into cards of 4.
Payout
Card winners are payed out 10$, while the overall winner gets additional cash based on the amount of players that week. Ties are deteremiend by CTP or playoff.
Ranking
After each round, tags are redistributed to players based on score. Lowest score receives the lowest tag, followed by the second lowest getting next lowest tag and so on. In case of a tie, the player that came in with lower tag gets the next lowest tag.
When
Tags are played Sunday mornings year-round, except for severe weather or scheduled tournaments.
Where
Players can check in at the shed between holes 2 & 3.
Registration opens at 8:30am and tee off is at 9:00am. Depending on the layout, rounds finish around 12:00pm and tags are usually distributed shortly after.
Yearly Invitational
At the end of the year, FWDGC hosts a free Invitational tournament! Players are invited based on most rounds played. Additional players are invited for volunteering, event sponsorship or other contributions to the course or club.
At the Invitational, players compete in a 2 round tournament for trophies and prizes. Each player's score is adjusted by a handicap, calculated from tags rounds during that year. Trophies and other awards are distributed at the annual tags awards party later that day.
